Dahil hindi lahat ng una, ay masaya.

December 16, 2011. Five years ago. Just imagine. Madaling araw. Pasado alas-kwatro. Papauwi ka pa lang ng bahay galing sa overnight school work. Umaambon. Naglalakad ka sa isang maputik na daan. Madilim at walang ilaw. Sa kanang bahagi mo, mapapansin ang mataas na pader ng eskwelahan, habang sa kaliwa naman ay mga kabahayan. Sa dulong parte ng iyong lalakaran, maaaninag ang poste na tanging nagbibigay ilaw sa daan. Bente metro ang layo mula sa kinatatayuan mo. Kailangan mong magmadali. Maliban sa papalakas nang papalakas ang ulan, wala ni isang tao sa daan.

The Greatest Gift

The first word that immediately comes to my mind: Family. My mother, my father, my sister, my brother, my grandparents, and my nephews. These are the people that I know for a fact will be by my side when I need them the most, no matter what happens.

Monito and Monita

“Monito and Monita.”

This is the famous game of exchange gifts every Christmas. You pick a name that you’d give a gift without them knowing. We had that in our church, and everyone is obliged to participate.

I had picked a name of a postulant, and I don’t know him personally. We are instructed too not to know who picked us, for it to be a surprise.
